Guendalina Urbani (Roma, 1992) dal 2018 è uno dei membri di Spazio In Situ e dal 2021 è rappresentata dalla Galleria Umberto Benappi di Torino. Ha esposto in gallerie, fiere, spazi indipendenti e istituzionali tra cui: Arte50, Lugano – Un mare di vetro (2026); Artissima Fair, Torino (2025) – Italy Sotheby’s International Realty, Milano – On Times (Paradise) Lost (2024); Chiesa di San Rocco, Mombarcaro (CN) – Buona Fortuna Ribelli (2023); NP_ArtLab, Padova – Unconventional still life (2022); Galleria Umberto Benappi, Torino – LeviaGravia (2021) e Rewind (2022); Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Roma – Materia Nova (2021); Spazio In Situ, Roma – Quando cade la magia, rimane la disinvoltura (2020). Nel 2022 in occasione di Roma Arte in Nuvola vince il Premio Young della Regione Lazio come migliore artista under 35. È stata finalista Exibart Prize (2020); Semifinalista Jaguart (2020).
La sua ricerca si concentra sulla percezione come processo attivo di costruzione del reale. Attraverso l’osservazione delle modalità con cui attribuiamo significato a ciò che ci circonda, analizza le dinamiche che trasformano dati sensibili, memorie e aspettative in esperienza, esplorando le possibili discordanze tra percezione, interpretazione e riconoscimento. Lavora principalmente con l’installazione e la scultura creando oggetti immaginari, contraddittori ed enigmatici. Tramite la manipolazione di forme, materiali e associazioni cognitive, realizza opere che abitano una soglia incerta tra ciò che riconosciamo e ciò che ci sfugge, inducendo processi di riconoscimento che conducono a interpretazioni plausibili, ma non necessariamente corrette.

In 2022, on the occasion of Rome Arte in Nuvola, she won the Young Prize of the Lazio Region as best artist under 35. She was an Exibart Prize finalist (2020); Jaguart semi-finalist (2020).
Her research focuses on perception as an active process in the construction of reality. Through an investigation of the ways in which we assign meaning to the world around us, she examines the dynamics that transform sensory data, memory, and expectations into experience, exploring the potential discrepancies between perception, interpretation, and recognition. Working primarily with installation and sculpture, she creates imaginary, contradictory, and enigmatic objects. Through the manipulation of forms, materials, and cognitive associations, she produces works that inhabit an uncertain threshold between what we recognize and what eludes us, triggering processes of recognition that lead to interpretations that are plausible, yet not necessarily accurate.
